About

Autism Key is run by parents, for parents of individuals with autism spectrum disorders. The site was founded in 2005 to offer news, resources and support to the autism and special needs communities.

Through first hand experience, we previously learned that the most difficult part of receiving an autism diagnosis was the lack of support and readily available information.  As a result, Autism Key was launched as a resource tool for parents and loved ones to encourage, support, and learn from each others challenges.

Since its founding, Autism Key has equipped tens-of-thousands of families with vital information and resources, and continues to offer unique content for the autism community. This includes news, multi-media information, discussion boards from visitors and commentary from a variety of viewpoints and perspectives.

In January of 2011, Autism Key transitioned into a news-focused site, which includes articles and editorial pieces from parents, doctors, and autism experts aimed at helping and informing the autism community. Our goal is to provide balanced commentary and information on topics from authors who share various points-of-views.
