Re: Utah

I live in Southern California, Encinitas. I have found where ever people go they have to fight for services. There are laws to protect and help our children, but if the district can get away with something they will. I had a lawyer and once we went to mediation my son was offered more services. My son is 13 now and most people can't tell he has autism. Remember to ask for ABA, Occupational therapy, (if needed) and social groups. I paid for a lot of my sons therapy, but because it worked I could have sued the district for all my money back. If you don't ask they won't volunteer. My ABA therapist stopped my sons tantrums within days. The therapist's also help you along the way. It's a lot of work, but worth it 100%.
