Hello I just joined today and wanted to say hello I am the father of Arek. He is 4 and has classic Autism. I also have a daughter Lauren who is 8 and has Learning disabilities. Then their is Brett our oldest son and Alissa and Amanda our youngest daughters. They seem to be developing at a normal pace. Arek is a great kid and has always had a great smile and laugh. He is in early childhood and receives decent education. I know and am striving to improve his education to excellent(Appropriate for the legal buffs out there). Canton is a small town and despite being OK they could be better with more support just like All the small towns could be. Forgive me if I ramble and use not so perfect grammar. I have Bipolar and at times can be a bit jumble headed. We moved from Du-page County IL where the services offered were absolutely incredible. Arek finished most of his early intervention there. Financial reasons is how we ended up here in canton. It has grown on my children and my wonderful wife Lisa. Together we do all we can for our children. We just started a website to help start a fund for Special Education in our area. We are looking for input as to what you all consider important and effective educational strategies for our Autistic children. That is why I joined this forum to be a student and hopefully a teacher as well. Well I guess that is more than an adequate introduction. Please forgive me for being long winded.
